Dixie Forum to host Utah Shakespeare Festival panel

Dixie Forum to host Utah Shakespeare Festival panel

Dixie State University’s weekly Dixie Forum: A Window on the World series will continue its fall lineup with a presentation about the Utah Shakespeare Festival.

A panel of actors and artists from the festival’s summer and fall seasons will present from noon to 12:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at the Dunford Auditorium in the Browning Resource Center on the DSU campus. Admission is free and the public is encouraged to attend.

The panel will talk all about their particular job functions at the festival as well as the Utah Shakespeare Festival in general. The festival presents life-affirming classic and contemporary plays in repertory, with Shakespeare as their cornerstone. Plays are enhanced by interactive festival experiences that aim to entertain, enrich and educate.

Dixie Forum is a weekly lecture series designed to introduce the St. George and DSU communities to diverse ideas and personalities while widening their worldviews via a 50-minute presentation. Next, Dixie Forum will host Dr. Cari Buckner, a Dixie State associate professor of education, as she presents about brain development in young children at noon on Sept. 19 in the Dunford Auditorium.
