Dixie Watercolor Society to present at next installment of Dixie Forum

Sharing about the history and longevity of watercolor painting, the Dixie Watercolor Society will present at the next installment of Dixie State University’s weekly lecture series Dixie Forum: A Window on the World. Society members Sean Rowley, Maureen Booth and Daphne Schroth are set to speak at noon on Oct. 2 in the Dunford Auditorium of the Browning Resource Center on the Dixie State campus. Admission is free, and the public is encouraged to attend. The Dixie Watercolor Society is dedicated to promoting, encouraging, educating and advancing watercolor artists and painting through meetings, demonstrations, lectures, workshops, classes and shows for the benefit of the society’s members, other artists and the general public. Dixie Forum is a weekly lecture series designed to introduce the St. George and DSU communities to diverse ideas and personalities while widening their worldviews via a 50-minute presentation. Dixie Forum will be on recess on Oct. 9 in preparation for Dixie State’s fall break but will resume Oct. 16 with a presentation from Dr. Catherine Kleier on Wonders of the Plant World.
