Dixie State University to host community “Tricks & Treats Night” celebration

“Tricks & Treats Night” will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Encampment Mall on Dixie State’s campus. The event is free and the community is encouraged to attend.

Event activities will be fun for the whole family. Dixie State Athletics will have trunk-or-treat booths set up for trick-or-treating throughout the night. The College of Science, Engineering & Technology will showcase the mysteries of chemistry with experiments on slime making to creating ghost bubbles. The Alumni Association is hosting costume fashion shows throughout the evening and participants can sign up to walk down the runway to show off their designer costumes.

“Fall and Halloween are times filled with great memories of dressing up, eating candy and being with friends,” shared Megan Church, DSU Director of University Events & Promotions. “We are so excited to bring many departments on campus together to offer an unforgettable fall night full of memories for our community.”

Other activities throughout the evening include tractor rides, various foods and a pumpkin walk. Guests can vote on their favorite carved, painted or decorated pumpkin throughout the evening. The pumpkin that is voted the crowd favorite will also win a prize.
