Dixie State University’s online nursing program ranked one of the top, most affordable in U.S.

Recognizing Dixie State University’s continued success, Best Value Schools has ranked DSU’s online nursing program as one of the best and most affordable in the country.

Dixie State’s RN-BSN program, which allows registered nurses to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing fully online, ranked as the 12th most affordable and 16th best overall program in the nation. Dixie State’s RN-BSN program offers nurses the opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree while working in the field and teaches the relevant and timely information necessary for nurses to be successful in today’s healthcare industry.

“DSU is pleased to offer this affordable online program that prepares registered nurses to practice high-quality care, advance to leadership positions and enter graduate school,” Dr. Michelle McDermott, Dixie State’s RN-BSN program coordinator, said. “By featuring six start dates throughout each year, flexibility with full-time or part-time scheduling options and high-impact practice experiences, our program responds to the needs of working nurses seeking to continue their education.”

To apply for the program, students must have earned an associate degree from an accredited registered nurse program prior to starting at Dixie State; however, RN licensure doesn’t need to be obtained until the beginning of the second semester. Additionally, the program tuition is the same for students who live inside and outside of Utah, with general student fees waived.

“My experience at Dixie State University’s RN-BSN program was so fantastic. I appreciated that our professors understood that we worked full-time and were very flexible. They were always encouraging, offered great support and had exceptional knowledge in their fields,” DSU student Dianna Austill said. “The classes were interactive, challenging and affordable. I enjoyed every minute and have recommended this program to so many colleagues.”
