Trailblazer Nation Spring Fest to feature egg hunts, activities for all individuals

Featuring the Golden Egg Challenge for the first time ever, Dixie State University’s Trailblazer Nation Spring Fest has expanded to include multiple egg hunts and a variety of activities this year.

Open to the community, Spring Fest is set to take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on April 1 at the North Encampment Mall on the Dixie State campus. The main event, the Golden Egg Challenge, features major prizes, is open to all individuals 16 and older and begins at 7 p.m.

“Springtime is enjoyable for everyone, so there is no reason why kids should have all the fun. The Golden Egg Challenge is the perfect opportunity for kids at heart to enjoy some fresh air, compete against their friends to find the best prizes and celebrate the spring season,” Hanna Hefferon, event organizer, said. “This premier egg hunt features awesome, valuable prizes worth hunting for.”

The free Children’s Egg Hunt, which is open to kids up to 15 years old, will start at 6 p.m. and include more than 5,000 eggs hidden near the O.C. Tanner Fountain on the DSU campus. Additionally, activities including music, spring crafts, games and availability to food trucks start at 5 p.m.

“We are so excited to expand our egg hunt tradition and add activities for the whole community,” Brooke Sullivan, alumni events and marketing coordinator, said. “In Dixie Spirit fashion, we can all come together to celebrate the spring season.”

In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, participants will be required to wear masks. Pre-registration is required for both egg hunts and is open through March 31. Participation in the children’s egg hunt is free and $15 for the Golden Egg Challenge.
